We’ve all had to deal with changes in our lives, some we wanted and more we didn’t. Over time, some of our sparkle wears off. We don’t feel as happy, engaged, focused as we once did. We seem to have lost something. We feel stuck. We don’t know what to do or where to go from here.
Then, add grief to the mix. All change brings grief. There are so many losses in life – love ones, livelihood, health – and sometimes they pile on. Things can seem pretty gloomy but, really, it’s an opportunity to create a better you, a better life.
I’ve been where you are. By the time I reached midlife, I had fibromyalgia, IBS, depression, and was going through menopause! I was also grieving my dog Jack, my brother and my mother. It was a rough time and all that stress took a toll on my physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being. My doctor and therapist were supportive and I was given meds, physical therapy, and other tools and practices to support my health and wellness. Dealing with so many things can be overwhelming but I got through it by
- addressing what most needed to be addressed in the moment – one thing at a time, one after the other
- giving myself a lot of grace – self-compassion and patience
- meditation and guided visualization
- getting support from family and friends
- allowing myself to rest when I needed
- permitting myself to wallow once in a while for only a day or two and then getting right back at it
It can be daunting to work on our health when our life is in upheaval and we are dealing with chronic conditions and mental illness. I help people live a more fulfilling life with tools and practices to navigate change and manage grief with grace, resilience, and confidence. I partner with you in transforming your life.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating chronic pain & fatigue syndromes, mental health challenges, and women in menopause to live a meaningful, manageable, and fulfilling life with sustainable wellness strategies.
Let’s talk about what you’re going through and how I can help you.
